The story of Jack Russell in circulation is horrific and yet closer to the truth. In 1948, Israel’s first PM Ben Gurian had declared Pakistan as most dangerous to the integrity of Israel, since like Israel, Pakistan had also been created on an ideological basis.
India didn’t reconcile to Pakistan’s existence for its own reasons. Russia saw the newly born state as a threat to its communist ideology. The US and Britain also saw the largest Muslim state with deep-rooted germs of radicalism and Islamism as a threat to capitalist system. All of them hatched an international conspiracy to cut Pakistan to size in 1971.
The truncation of Pakistan didn’t mellow down the spirits of Pakistanis, and it was decided to make Pakistan nuclear.
Despite threats, sanctions, intimidation and subversion, Pakistan achieved the miracle, and in 1998 it became the lone nuclear power in the Muslim world.
This was unacceptable to the US, NATO, Israel and India. In order to denuclearize Pakistan, a false flag operation was conducted on 9/11 to launch another international conspiracy against Pakistan. For the next 20 years, all possible methods, overt and covert, coupled with psy ops were employed to achieve their objectives.
Focus was on bleeding security forces and the economy through intense proxy war in the two battle zones of FATA and Baluchistan, to trigger terrorism in urban Sindh, engulf the whole country in the flames of terrorism, isolate and discredit Pakistan & its institutions, exhaust, demoralise and demonise the Army and LEAs, create a gulf between the people and the army, and to spread despondency and disillusionment among the people.
The nuclear program was purposely demonised and it was propagated that it was unsafe and would fall in the wrong hands, and that Pak nukes were a threat to the world. Suggestion of joint command of nuclear sites was repeatedly made.
After failing to disable the nukes with the help of terrorists, or its own sting operation, and also failing to force Pakistan to hand over its nukes voluntarily, it was concluded that unless the centre of gravity residing in the Army was weakened from within, no breakthrough was possible. For that purpose, Pak army command was pressed to opt for the third political force.
The suggested option was disastrous, since the cultish culture promoted by PTI misled the youth to adopt violent acts. It polarised the society, heightened hatred, made politics unstable, tumbled the economy and created chaotic conditions.
From 2019 onwards, Pakistan fell irretrievably into the debt trap of the IMF, and Pakistan is now entirely dependent upon the IMF.
On top of it, resurrection of terrorism at a high scale in the two conflict zones has added to the woes of Pakistan. TTP is in collusion with the Afghan Taliban and is fully backed by the IEA. The TTP is also linked with PTI particularly with the KP chapter. Southern KP is on fire where almost daily terrorist acts are taking place and intelligence based operations are launched.
Political instability and insecurity is discouraging foreign investors to invest in Pakistan’s economic projects. Never before has Pakistan faced so many challenges at one time.
The judiciary is playing a dirty role and is paving the way towards anarchy by delivering partisan verdicts or in delaying justice.
PTI’s social media networks in Isbd, KP and the USA, and its lobbies are causing extensive damage to the fabric of the society and the integrity of Pakistan. It is resorting to digital terrorism to harm the reputation of Army leadership.
Pakistan stands at a precipice and it’s sole saviour is stable economy and nothing else. The economy cannot be stabilised without political stability and internal security. Like the enemies of Pakistan, the PTI also considers the military establishment as a stumbling block and its biggest foe.
I agree with Jack Russel that it is intolerable for the enemies to see Pakistan equipped with strong missiles and nuclear weapons. Robust and fully battle-inoculated Pak Army, which earned the honor of defeating terrorism in 2016, when 48 countries including the US and NATO failed to do so; and best Air Force, adds to their worries.
65% youth bulge and several jihadi groups filled with the spirit of Islam and Jihad multiply their anxieties. High level poverty and illiteracy make the downtrodden reckless.
Weak economy and political instability make nuclear Pakistan the most unpredictable and dangerous country in the world. For its survival, it will not hesitate to exercise the nuclear option.
Strategic partnership with China and rapidly building CPEC coupled with growing Pak- Russia relations are other upsetting irritants which cannot be reconciled with.
The US and its strategic partners have hatched yet another international conspiracy, and are feverishly working on a plan to make Pakistan financially bankrupt, debt ridden, anarchic and to create conditions to force Pakistan to beg for alms to survive, give up its nuclear arsenal, and accept to live as a client state of India.
After taking Pakistan to the brink of a civil war, Gen Asim Munir will be provoked to seize power and declare martial law. PTI has undertaken this mission with its policy of confrontation, violence, non-cooperation and defiance. KP is being made lawless under a calculated plan.
The Pak Army leadership has smelt the rat and has pledged to achieve economic stability. SIFC has charted a complete road map which encompasses five development prongs of IT, Mining, Energy, Agriculture and Defence production. Foreign investments from the oil rich Gulf Arab States have been fine tuned. However domestic hurdles are blocking the progress.
Azm-e-Istehkam doesn’t suit the domestic detractors and the external hostile powers since it is being undertaken under a democratic setup to not only root out terrorism but also the affiliated diseases like smuggling, gun running, drug peddling, money laundering, terror financing, and breaking the nexus between toxic political leaders, Mafias, criminal gangs and terrorist groups.
It is not an army operation, but an all encompassing campaign to doctor multiple diseases, which are ailing Pakistan. Hence it is being opposed and made controversial.
Lastly, a question is often asked as to why the army couldn’t root out the menace of terrorism completely despite launching so many big operations?
The reason is simple. Terrorism cannot be eliminated by the army alone. It has to be united effort in which all the stakeholders and the people have to participate and contribute. Likewise, digital terrorism espoused through social media and Twitter (X), which is substantiating physical terrorism cannot be countered by the army. So far nothing worthwhile has been done by the govt to checkmate this nuisance.
The army’s primary responsibility is to clear the conflict zone, re-establish peace and writ of the govt and then hand over to the civil administration to do their bit.
Rehabilitation of displaced persons, development works and a host of other socio- economic, political activities and winning hearts and minds of the affected regions are the responsibility of the civil servants and civilian provincial govts. But those were, and are still being done by the Army.
Secondly, the performance of the judiciary has been deplorable. It has poured water on all the sacrifices made by the security forces by releasing all the terrorists. The performance of ATCs is also low average.
All prongs will have to remain in step with each other to achieve lasting results.
That is why the DG ISPR stated that the nation and all organs of power will have to get united and collectively chip in to save Pakistan.
