The Centre for Development and Stability (CDS) organized 3 days campaign “lets explore kashmir” aimed to explore and promote tourism and rich culture of the Kashmir. This campaign brought local media, youth, digital influencers and stake holders together to raise awareness and promote this beautiful travel destination.
Lets explore Kashmir featured interactive sessions with local community, tourism potential and bright culture of Azad Kashmir.

The “Let’s Explore Kashmir” campaign was launched by former Assembly candidate Dr. Irfan Ashraf to promote LA 20 Poonch. This campaign was aimed to attract national and international tourists to Azad Kashmir.

The objectives of this campaign were the following:

  • Create employment opportunities for local youth in the tourism sector through a formal tourism policy.
  • Provide training and jobs for local youth in the tourism sector and
  • Promote tourism in Azad Kashmir to eliminate unemployment.

  • 3-day campaign included roundtable conferences at various tourist destinations.
  • Visit to Banjosa Lake, where guests enjoyed boating.
  • Roundtable conference held and attended by local dignitaries, students, and journalists.

  • Government inefficiency criticised by guests.
  • Need for a formal tourism policy in Azad Kashmir emphasized.
