The mental health simply refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. How we think, how we act, how we interact, and how we deal with situations are all related to our mental health. We often see people taking care of their physical health and well-being while we never seek the same treatment for our mental health which is the basic source of physical well-being.

We mostly notice the low grades of teens, we do see their sudden silence, and we curse them for the way they act or behave. In short, everything is caught, but people are hardly taking action on it. We do notice the change in personality, we see kids not eating properly, but we never take any action.

If a person is physically ill, he is taken to the hospital as soon as possible while a parent thinks ten times before taking a depressed person to the psychologist. The mental health is real. Anxiety, depression, bipolar, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and personality disorders are all illnesses of mental health that do exist but are never valued.

Recent studies say that 35% of teenagers are facing mental health issues where 7000 to 10000 teenagers commit suicide and other health issues especially heart attack, trauma, brain tumor, and other patients are actually not counted.

According to the rate shown and the number of people committing suicide indicates how easy we take our mental health. However, in the upcoming lines, the cause of mental health and the novel problems that teenagers are facing and how to handle them will be discussed.

We live in a modern society where facilities, trends, brands, and modernized lifestyles are valued so much that people only seek to earn and reach the competition going on in the society, even we see the duel earning as well. I don’t blame these all but only put a light on the time given to the teenagers and checking out the routines and what things they are facing.

According to the research, the top cause of mental health is the support and time given by the family. We often check out the physical needs of our teenagers but we never see the changes in them. Even through the talks with teenagers, it is proved that most of them were because of family issues and lack of attention, support, time, and care from the family.

The second main reason is found as the academic challenges where again the parents make their routine tough to make their future bright without caring what their teenagers are going through.

In a world where the class is noticed and valued more than the happiness of the teenagers, we often find teenagers being pressurized and finding a way of relaxation and a gab from the ordinary life, full of competitions that they are facing.

So, for that some take the help of motivational speeches which cure them temporary but isolate them from communicating to their loved ones. We post, and talk about the kids using social media, not communicating, not giving the family time, being rude, but we never blame ourselves and we never take responsibility.

The overuse of technology has also destroyed mental health where now being sad, posting sad, and gaining sympathies are in the trend not realizing how badly it can damage the mental well-being of teenagers.

Not only these but the change in era has brought many other causes like the trauma losses where the teenagers are abused, bullied, their size, colors are mentioned their classes their styles, and most importantly, the peer relationships and peer pressure that they hold.

We are living in an era where teenagers are more comfortable with their friends rather than their families which is the main cause of their mental issues and revealing of their secrets and also there are teenagers doing things only because of their peer pressure and the competition and race gifted by their families, teachers, friends or whoever they value and love.

Similarly, it is just like thousands of problems and only a single or a few solutions. The problems that our teenagers are facing should be taken seriously and the teenagers should be given mental health treatment just like the physical one.

Today’s teenagers are much more intelligent and wise but they only need a light to guide their ways which is only a little support and care. We must teach our kids from childhood that the sentences told to others can be the source of a negative change in the lives of others.

Parents and teachers must note and keep an eye on the mindsets of teenagers as well because everyone doesn’t perceive the language of competition, abuse, and curses. The parents must give proper time to their teenagers and must daily ask them about how their days are going and what things they are facing.

We can be a reason for the change in their society where if parents take the books the teenagers follow in the same footsteps which ask us to see where we step.

However, for us, our kids should be more important than what people think and say which means if your teenager is facing mental health issues he will never be called a lunatic or anything else, so without having fear, the teenager should be taken to the related and consulted psychologists.
