This was visit was part of CDS’s ongoing efforts to deepen people-to-people and intellectual ties between the two brotherly nations, complementing the high-level roundtable discussion on “Pakistan–Oman Bilateral Ties: A Cornerstone for Boosting Regional Economy and Connectivity” held on February 5th .Accompanied by CDS team, including Director General Dr. Irfan Ashraf, the distinguished Omani parliamentarians explored the architectural grandeur of the Pakistan Monument, a national emblem symbolizing unity in diversity through its four petals representing the provinces and three representing the territories, crowned by the star and crescent.
Inside the Heritage Museum, the delegation viewed meticulously Pakistan’s civilizational journey from the ancient Indus Valley to the Pakistan Movement, the sacrifices of the freedom struggle, and key milestones of nation-building. Statues, rare archival photographs, documents, and displays brought to life the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the poetic inspiration of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
A particular corner focused on Pakistan’s recent military triumph in Marka-e-Haq (the Battle of Truth), the official designation for the 2025 defense of sovereignty during heightened tensions. The display highlighted Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos, a coordinated, tri-services response that showcased Pakistan Armed Forces’ professionalism, technological integration, rapid decision-making, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding territorial integrity and civilian lives.
The Omani parliamentarians expressed deep admiration for Pakistan’s storied history of resilience, its successful defense of national honor in Marka-e-Haq, and the enduring spirit of determination that continues to define the nation.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, a senior Majlis-e-Shura member remarked: “This visit to the Pakistan Monument and Museum has profoundly illustrated the depth of Pakistan’s historical journey and the extraordinary resolve. We are inspired by the bravery of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the unity of the Pakistani people. It reiterates that why Pakistan remains a pillar of strength and a true brother to Oman.”
Dr. Irfan Ashraf, Director General of CDS, stated: “The Centre for Development and Stability is honored to facilitate this meaningful cultural and historical exchange.
