On 15 Nov, 46 members of the US House of Representatives wrote a letter to outgoing Joe Biden to use his influence to get IK released. This is the second time in a row that the US Senators and Congress members have expressed their deep concern about incarcerated IK. Earlier on, on 23 Oct, 60 members of the Congress wrote a similar letter. No action was taken in Pakistan.

Why has another attempt been made after the first failure, and that too with less strength, and at a time when the Biden administration has only a few weeks left to hand over power to Donald Trump?

Obviously, the lobbyists hired by PTI and vocal PTI affiliated cults in the USA and Europe have been working hard. They had favoured Trump and used their votes on 5 Nov US election as a blackmailing tactic to serve their political interests.

The UK Parliamentians are not lagging behind in their love for IK and had also passed a resolution demanding his release. The UK HC in Isbd in disregard of diplomatic norms, expressed her serious concerns about human rights violations in Pakistan and the alleged mistreatment of interned PTI leaders. Israeli leading newspapers have also been pleading the case of IK. The hidden role of Goldsmith and the Zionist lobby in support of IK cannot be ruled out.

Both the US and the UK are guilty of fully backing the genocidal war in Gaza since 7 Oct 2023. Without their wholesome military and financial support, it was not possible for Israel to continue the war and to expand it to Lebanon and confront Iran directly. The human rights record of the US is not a secret. It is an established fact that it is the biggest supporter of terrorism and breaker of international laws.

The PTI leaders and workers are more concerned about their jailed leader and none else. They keep propagating that he is denied facilities and is being handled roughly.

When it comes to the pitiable plight of the people in Gaza , they remain mum and shout No to the motion passed by the NA in respect of the Gazans. They also forget and ignore the draconic measures taken against their political opponents when in power.

Aafia Siddiqui

Aafia Siddiqui languishing in the US jail and her deteriorating health doesn’t bother PTI. India’s brutal persecution of the Muslim Kashmiris in IOK are of no concern to them.

After failing to browbeat the govt through high-handed tactics, use of violence and pungent media war; failing to force the military to directly negotiate with jailed IK; and losing the hope of judiciary under their favourite justice Mansoor Ali Shah, PTI’s last hope is in Trump. Zulfi Bukhari and some other Pak expats are claiming a close relationship with Trump and his family, and have approached him to help the interned IK.

Trump has given out his internal and external policies after his victory, as to how he would go about tackling various pressing issues. So far, he hasn’t uttered a word about Pakistan and IK’s travails.

IK wishes to draw the world’s attention by demonstrating his street power and popularity. For this purpose, he has given a ‘Do or Die’ call on 24 Nov.

He knows that the wind is blowing against him and the situation has become hopeless. Achievement of good results by the Govt to stabilise the dwindling economy is not to the liking of IK.

He had expected that the performance of the current govt would be as dismal as PDM-I. He wants to apply breaks upon the development works and also wants to exploit the upsurge of terrorism in KP and Baluchistan by aggravating political instability and divisiveness.

He has spelled out four demands: revoke 26th Constitutional Amdt, restore democracy, return to public mandate, and release political prisoners. A Committee has been formed to plan, organise and monitor the big event, but names have not been disclosed fearing that they will be arrested.

He has made his intentions clear to his party leaders that it will be a test case of their loyalty and anyone not living up to his expectations will be thrown out of the party. He wants the sit-in at Isbd to morph into a countrywide revolution and civil war.

He had to impose tough conditions because he is well aware of the deep divisions within his party, and the lackluster performance of many PTI senior players and fence sitters. He distrusts them because he has been informed that most are playing a double game and are no longer interested in protest marches. He is annoyed that the elected members are enjoying all the perks and privileges at his cost.

Each MNA and MPA has been mandated to mobilize 10,000 and 5000 workers respectively, keep them at undisclosed locations, and bring them to D Chowk on the D Day. Routes from other cities have been specified. Reportedly, 10,000 PTI workers have already sneaked into Isbd.

IK’s target is to mobilise a strength of 65000 workers from 13 provincial constituencies, 50,000 from five NA constituencies in Peshawar. In his estimate, a figure of 1-3 Lacs would topple the Govt.

He wants dead bodies to attract the attention of the HRW and to make his case strong that the LEAs are indulging in the worst human rights violations. 9 May vandalism was also aimed at dead bodies, but it backfired.

gandapur

Wavery Gandapur is banking upon the TTP and the Afghan militants who had been taking part in earlier long marches. He is likely to once again misuse KP Govt vehicles and machinery to overcome barriers. Reportedly, he is cross with Bushra Bibi living in CM House. She and the two sisters of IK are canvassing separately and the CM House in Peshawar has been made into the main HQ.

The PTI network known for its expertise in fakery has circulated a story that Pakistani expats from the USA, Canada and Europe would land at Isbd and Lahore airports in tens of thousands on the evening of 23 Nov or 24 morning, loaded with cash and jewelry worth billions and seize airports and then march towards Isbd.

To make the story sensational and to maximise pressure, it has been added that on the late evening of 24th, a specially chartered plane carrying high level Congressmen of the future Trump administration, and possibly Trump himself would land at Isbd airport, home towards Adiala jail and liberate IK. This is the big surprise being kept close to their chests.

PTI is crossing all limits of imagination and hallucinations. Its top leadership forgets that the Federal Apex Committee attended by top civil and military brass held a special meeting yesterday.

It has chalked out a comprehensive strategy to deal with PTI hooligans bent upon creating anarchy. The LEAs in Sindh, Baluchistan and Punjab have worn their battle gears and are ready to deal with the mobsters. PTI is no longer the dominant force in Punjab. The intelligence agencies are sniffing all over the country and are hunting the external elements particularly from Afghanistan.

Isbd Police has asked for 5000 Rangers and 4000 FC troops to guard the capital city, especially the Red Zone. Section 144 has been imposed, VPN blocked, containers are being lined up, and PTI leaders are being rounded up.

The battle of nerves has reached a breaking point since the stakes on both sides are very high. Amidst the heightening tensions, it is reported that a high level meeting between the two warring camps has taken place (or is likely to take place) to cool down tempers and find a way out of the political impasse.
