Terror attacks are taking place almost daily in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan. In each encounter, casualties take place on both sides.

The Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) based in the safe havens of Afghanistan couldn’t have possibly struck back so viciously without the full patronage of the interim IEA regime in Kabul, re-entry of Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) in Afghanistan, rejuvenation of the Negotiated Dealing System (NDS), and easy availability of sophisticated arms, ammunition, and equipment left behind by the western forces in Aug 2021.

The terrorists want to bleed the security forces and overpower the two provinces, while the Law Enforcement Agencies are putting their lives and comforts at stake to defend the motherland. Hardly a day passes when there is no news of the martyrdom of our brave hearts. Hats off to their parents, siblings, and children who are bearing these irreparable losses quietly and honorably.

There is only one political party – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) -, which has never uttered a word of condemnation against the Fitna Al Khawarij, and its softness towards them and reported linkage is no longer a secret.

Pti Protest

Some mischievous analysts in Pakistan in their bid to cover up the misdoings of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s rule, are of the view that the heated-up eastern, western, and southern borders are because of the wrong policies of the present govt. They say that Pak-China relations have also soured. They forget that PTI was responsible for annoying China by freezing CPEC and spoiling relations with the GCC States. It had handed over IOK to India in a plate.

As a Pakistani and as a veteran, I condemn them and their supporters, and pray for the safety and wellbeing of the security forces, deployed in the combat zones since 2001.

No counter terrorism operations could have taken place without funding and backup support of the govt in power and the willing acceptance of responsibility by the army’s high command. PTI was always against military operations. Why did it fail to win over TTP?

Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan had overpowered nineteen admin units in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA). The seventeen were recovered in 2009/10, and the rest in 2015 at a colossal loss of security forces. Tens and thousands of women were widowed and children orphaned. Many families lost their single bread earners.

We are indebted to the martyred and the crippled and the ghazis for defending the motherland, and for helping the twenty-five crore people to sleep safely.

However, the cults and their leader are least bothered about the sacrifices made by the brave hearts. None can deny that the current rise of terrorism is due to the myopic decision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Sept 2021 to hold talks with the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan.

haqqani

They censured the cross border air attack launched on the safe haven of Hafiz Gul Bahadur and shed tears over the losses of the terrorists, and those providing them safe havens.

They argue as to why the army and paramilitary forces are deployed in the war zones and should pull back. In other words, they subscribe to the views of Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM),  Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Mahrang Baloch, and anti-Pakistan elements.

They eulogise the anti-Pakistan absconding journalists sitting abroad spewing venom against Pakistan and Pak Army.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf affiliated expats are spending money to win over the US and the UK parliamentarians and are beseeching them to issue negative statements against Pakistan.

Aspersions cast upon Pakistan by vested groups inside and outside the country are cheered by the cults.

They habitually indulge in fake news and propaganda to glorify IK and his imaginary achievements, and to undermine the efforts made by the sitting coalition govt to lift the economy out of stagnation and to make it vibrant. They miss no opportunity to demean the reputation of the army, the govt and state institutions.

They are against recently enacted Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) laws since fakery is in their blood and is their bread and butter. They want freedom of speech and action based on ‘Madar Pidar Azad’. Many journalists who are on the payroll of foreign powers and political parties, and enthusiastically sell the tutored themes, are also making hue and cry.

They glamorized Sheikh Mujib and Bangladesh merely to tarnish the image of the Army and felt out of place when the people of Bangladesh declared Mujib a traitor. Growing Bangladesh Pakistan bonhomie is distressing them.

They have been pinning hopes on Trump to come to their rescue and were ecstatic when Richard Grenell issued a few tweets in favor of Imran Khan. They wouldn’t mind if the United States sanctions Pakistan, or India attacks Pakistan.

Imran Khan

Imran Khan has been wishing Pakistan to suffer the fate of Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Sudan, and to be broken into three parts.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is spending millions of dollars on hired lobbying firms in the United States to undermine the good deeds of the Government, magnify its weak areas, downcast Pakistan, and disrepute the Pakistan Army.

For them, what matters is Imran Khan and not Pakistan. ‘Imran Khan nahi to Pakistan nahi‘, is PTI’s motto. The cat is out of the bag; Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has come out in its true colours.

The worst role is of the veterans who are biting the hand which feeds them. What sort of patriotism is this?

In this hour of crisis, the veterans should have displayed their patriotism by standing up as the second defence line, and played their role by trying to silence the anti- Pakistan and anti-army elements rather than supping with them.

The worst form of hypocrisy is to defend or justify your own sinful acts and blame others. Seeking a judicial commission for its acts of commission and omission on 9 May 2023 and 26 November 2024 is a case in point.

Why not a judicial commission for the 24 Nov long march led by CM KP, using full resources of the province, and bringing along armed policemen, militants including Afghan and TTP terrorists to storm the capital city violently? Should they have been garlanded?

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s false narratives of equating the scuffle at Islamabad on the night of 26 Nov to the genocidal war in Gaza, circulating fake videos, and giving imaginary figures of the dead and missing persons, have been exposed. Its politics of dead bodies proved counterproductive.

Pakistan is the only country in the world in which a large segment fires guns of hatred against its own Govt, institutions and armed forces, and glorifies Pakistan’s enemies; and on top of it feels proud. The behaviour of Pakistani expats is also exceptional. This is the worst form of human character.

International Monetary Fund

Asking the International Monetary Fund (IMF) not to extend loans, asking expats to stop sending remittances, and the people of Pakistan to launch civil disobedience were designed to bankrupt Pakistan and trigger a civil war.

The May 9, 2023 arson was meant to unravel Pakistan. The November 4 to November 6, 2024 long march was aimed at scuttling visits of high-profile delegates. The 26th November vandalism was timed to scuttle the SCO Summit. The next call of civil disobedience is designed to disrupt the mega event of cricket in Pakistan.

Refusing to talk to the Government from April 2022 till December 2024, and then agreeing to negotiate with preconditions, reveals PTI’s malafide intentions.
The cult culture, dogmatism, and their fixated opinions have vitiated the atmosphere.

The purpose is to keep Pakistan merged in the pool of political instability and uncertainty, impede development works and to scare away foreign investors.

The judiciary is also up to its monkey tricks to keep the judicial pot boiling. The two senior-most supreme court judges instead of resigning after their supersession, opted to continue serving so that they could help in unravelling 26th Constitutional Amendment and also in facilitating PTI leadership court cases. The figure of rebellious Islamabad High Court judges has increased from six to seven.

The Pakistan People’s Party has its own future ambitions, and in its desperation to increase its vote bank in Punjab, it is rubbing shoulders with the Pakistan Muslim League (N). The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) is eager to draw the attention of all the political stakeholders towards itself, as it had secured during the parleys over the 26th Amendment.

In the wake of an international conspiracy woven against Pakistan, and the evolving global dynamics that are poised against the Muslim world, what is needed is unity. Disunity at this critical juncture amounts to cutting the branch of the tree upon which we all are sitting.
