India’s Expansionist Ambitions

India’s long-cherished dream of Akhand Bharat has driven its quest for regional hegemony and global power status. Pakistan’s refusal to accept India’s dominance, coupled with the unresolved Kashmir dispute, has kept the two archrivals at odds. Despite fighting three wars and engaging in numerous skirmishes, their hostility remains unrelenting.

Chanakyan Strategy and Destabilization of Pakistan

India has consistently applied Chanakya’s Machiavellian tactics to keep Pakistan politically destabilized and economically fragile. RAW, India’s premier intelligence agency, has for decades fomented unrest in Pakistan’s socioeconomically weaker provinces—Sindh, Baluchistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—just as it did in former East Pakistan prior to 1971.

Diplomatic Isolation and Strategic Encirclement

India-Pakistan

India has worked diligently to isolate Pakistan diplomatically and strategically. By exploiting its ties with Afghanistan and Iran, and manipulating relationships with the Gulf States, the U.S., and Russia, India has tried to portray Pakistan as a pariah. Its efforts to sow mistrust between Pakistan and China have also been relentless.

Military Disparity and Pakistan’s Nuclear Parity

India, with support from the U.S., Russia, and Israel, has built military superiority in the region. In response, Pakistan developed a robust nuclear deterrent, balancing conventional asymmetry and preventing full-scale aggression. Unable to neutralize Pakistan militarily, India shifted its strategy to hybrid and proxy warfare—aimed at bleeding Pakistan and disabling its nuclear program.

False Flag Operations and the May 2025 Misadventure

On April 22, 2025, India blamed Pakistan-based militants for a fabricated terrorist incident in Pahalgam and launched an unprovoked airstrike on the night of May 6, relying on U.S. support and Israeli collaboration. Indian leadership wrongly assumed that Pakistan—reeling from economic and political crises—would be unable to retaliate.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) targeted civilian areas, killing 40 and injuring 120, yet continued to claim only “terrorist camps” were struck. Despite international media verification and a leaked RAW document revealing India’s orchestration of the Pahalgam incident, New Delhi refused an independent investigation.

Pakistan’s Calibrated Military Response

Pakistan Air Force

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) responded with strategic precision. In a coordinated air battle involving about 120 aircraft, PAF downed four Rafales, and one each of MiG-30, MiG-29, Mirage 2000, and an armed drone—without sustaining any losses. By May 10, Pakistan had achieved air superiority and was positioned to advance into Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IOK). A desperate India, overwhelmed by Pakistan’s response, sought U.S. intervention, leading to a ceasefire brokered by President Trump.

Despite their defeat, Indian leaders are attempting to rewrite the narrative. On July 4, Indian Deputy Army Chief Lt. Gen. Rahul Singh falsely hailed the ceasefire as an Indian masterstroke, borrowing terminology from Western praise for Pakistan’s restraint and professionalism.

Indian Defeat, Global Praise for Pakistan

Global leaders, including Western nations and President Trump, commended Pakistan’s measured conduct and condemned India’s reckless aggression. India’s credibility has suffered, and its diplomatic corps now faces global scepticisms.

India, under both Congress and BJP, has pursued Hindutva-driven policies masked under secularism. Congress adopted soft Hindutva, while BJP, under RSS influence, implemented hard Hindutva—fostering intolerance and marginalization of minorities, particularly Muslims.

Historical Deceits and Media Manipulation

India has habitually distorted military outcomes. In 1948, Nehru sought a ceasefire once Indian troops faltered. In 1965 and Kargil conflicts, Indian media falsely claimed victory despite evidence to the contrary. Its military setbacks in Sri Lanka (1987) and against China in Galwan (2020) are routinely omitted from discourse. Only its 1971 victory in East Pakistan—aided by the Soviet Union and Mukti Bahini—is glorified, despite being the result of sustained covert warfare, not battlefield superiority alone.

The China-Turkiye Card and Indian Hypocrisy

The China-Turkiye Card and Indian Hypocrisy

India now complains about Pakistani use of Chinese satellites and Turkish drones, ignoring its own overt military cooperation with Israel, which participated physically in the May 2025 conflict. Lt. Gen. Singh’s claim of a “three-directional threat” is a desperate attempt to mask India’s battlefield failures by blaming external forces.

India’s Covert Operations and Strategic Subversion

Since 2001, India has manipulated Afghanistan and Iran to destabilize Pakistan and obstruct the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Alongside its U.S. and Israeli partners, it orchestrated massive disinformation campaigns, false flag operations, and diplomatic offensives to isolate and defame Pakistan.

Despite suffering over 80,000 casualties and $150 billion in losses as a frontline state in the U.S.-led War on Terror, Pakistan was demonized, while India assumed the role of regional victim. Freedom movements in Kashmir were painted as terrorism, supported by a global echo chamber that parroted Indian claims.

False Flag Operations and Narrative Warfare

From 2001 to 2025, India staged numerous false flag operations—Mumbai, Pathankot, Uri, Pulwama, and most recently, Pahalgam—to justify aggression and project victimhood. While Pakistan repeatedly provided concrete evidence of Indian-sponsored terrorism, India failed to present credible proof of its accusations.

India’s narrative closely mirrors that of Israel—portraying itself as a victim, demanding the right to self-defence, and labelling all resistance as terrorism. These twin states use the same tactics, justifications, and partners in their pursuit of regional domination.

India’s Regional Belligerence and Global Decline

India’s Regional Belligerence and Global Decline

India’s aggressive posture has crippled SAARC and alienated regional neighbours. It continues to misuse media and digital platforms, including the infamous Brussels-based Indian Chronicles—a disinformation network exposed in 2021. India’s global perception has sharply declined due to its hyper-nationalist rhetoric, RAW’s transnational operations, and entanglement with Mossad’s espionage web.

India’s defeat in the May 2025 war has dented its prestige. Prime Minister Modi’s popularity is plummeting, and his leadership is under growing internal and external pressure.

Despite Israel’s active participation in the war, India now complains of Pakistan’s legitimate use of co-produced Chinese and Turkish defence equipment. However, no foreign soldier, pilot, or operator was involved in Pakistan’s operations.

Field Marshal Asim Munir rightly condemned India’s misinformation, asserting that Pakistan fought and won the war on its own strength, relying on decades of institutional development, indigenous defence capability, and strategic wisdom.

Recommendations

  • Document Indian War Crimes and False NarrativesEstablish a dedicated commission to compile and present evidence of India’s aggression, false flag operations, and human rights violations before international forums such as the UN, OIC, and ICJ.
  • Diplomatic Counter-Narrative StrategyMobilize Pakistani embassies and media cells worldwide to proactively counter India’s propaganda, highlight its defeat in the May 2025 war, and expose its disinformation tactics.
  • Strengthen Indigenous Defence CapabilitiesContinue investment in joint military production with allies like China and Turkiye while maintaining self-reliance and operational secrecy.
  • Enhance Strategic CommunicationDevelop a centralized digital media command to monitor, debunk, and counter Indian fake news and psy-ops in real-time across platforms.
  • Expand Regional AlliancesDeepen relations with neighbour’s and emerging powers—China, Iran, Turkiye, Russia, Central Asia, and the Gulf—to break India’s encirclement strategy and strengthen Pakistan’s geopolitical standing.
  • Leverage Legal Forums and Track RAW ActivitiesPursue international legal action against RAW operatives involved in extra-territorial killings and espionage, using recent evidence of their operations in Canada, Iran, and the West.
  • Engage Global MediaFacilitate access for credible international journalists to Pakistani conflict zones to independently verify and report facts, enhancing transparency and credibility.
  • Bolster National Unity and Youth EngagementLaunch national campaigns to build internal cohesion, inoculate youth against enemy propaganda, and promote awareness of India’s hybrid warfare tactics.
