The hope of the innocents, struggling amid fire and bombardment, has been extinguished. On October 2, around noon, this news started circulating on social media. Pak-Palestine Forum reported that Pakistani delegation led Ex Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan arrested by the Israeli Occupying Forces. At the same time, we came across numerous posts on social media showing that the volunteers of Global Sumud Flotilla had been taken hostage. This aggressive act was strongly condemned by the ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Turkey, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, Britain, Malaysia.
How can the world expect that Israeli forces which showed no mercy to unarmed children and sick women would allow the Global Sumud Flotilla to reach the shores of Gaza?
If the killers (Israeli Forces) can’t even see that their victims are innocent, unarmed civilians, how can we expect them to open humanitarian corridors for those delivering food and aid? Innocent children are dying with anguish from hunger and thirst and ISF doing it intentionally. Why would they allow passage for relief shipments?
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan (MOFA) issued a strong statement condemning Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla. “Pakistan unequivocally condemned Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla, a vital humanitarian mission embodying global solidarity and moral resolve,” the statement read. It further said, “the Israeli actions constitute a grave violation of international law.”
Institutions that promote peace or claim to promote peace in the world continue to issue statements and reports on the human rights violation in Gaza. But this act of interception amounts to the ultimate insult to human beings and to humanity itself. Now the entire world admits that the tyranny and cruelty of Israel has crossed all limits. One thing is certain that Israeli forces will not desist from their aggressive and brutal actions until they are confronted with real and practical resistance.
We salute the courage of those who fully aware of the circumstances and knowing that this journey is neither easy nor without trials and hardships. However, they still chose to undertake it. To them their own suffering seems insignificant when compared to the plight of the innocent and oppressed Palestinians.
